Aerotek's client is currently ISO a Excavator Operator to join their team in the Timonium, MD area

Job Description

• As an Excavator Operator, where you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to dig trenches and install underground pipes for water, sewer, and storm drains. This role requires proficiency in using excavators and a strong knowledge of utility safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery to excavate and backfill trenches.

• Install underground pipes for water, sewer, and storm drains.

• Read and interpret blueprints and grade stakes.

• Locate existing utilities to avoid damage during operations.

• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.

• Collaborate effectively with the pipe crew and foreman to meet project deadlines.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in operating excavators.

• 5+ years of experience operating heavy equipment.

• Knowledge of utility safety standards.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and grade stakes.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with wet utility and underground utilities is a plus.

• Experience in civil construction or operating front end loaders and dozers is beneficial.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lutherville Timonium, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $34.00/hr.
