Job Description
7 AM - 3:30 PM
$20-$38/hr.
Plunge EDM Machinist An Electrical Discharge Machine (EDM) Machinist or Operator who works with plunge EDM machines is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating the machines to create precision parts.
Setup:
Mount, align, and secure work holders, tools, and attachments.
Operation:
Monitor the machining process.
Inspection:
Verify dimensions of machined parts using measuring equipment, and inspect finished products.
Maintenance:
Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and preventative maintenance.
Other responsibilities may include:
Designing and manufacturing electrodes, interpreting work instructions, selecting and installing tooling, calculating feeds and speeds, maintaining quality control standards, and adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
