Job Description Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Design and create new EDI transactions and interfaces to SAP. Implement new trading partners on new and existing transaction sets. Work with operations in implementation of EDI related system requirements. Participate in EDI support. Troubleshoot, maintain, and implement solutions for assigned Trouble Tickets. Work with Technical Services in implementation of Gentran system upgrades. Work with Technical Services in implementation scripting/jobs for new processes. Minimum of 5 - 7 years of systems development/analysis with at least 3 of those years directly supporting EDI initiatives. Must be able to effectively balance time resources to perform simultaneous work on multiple projects and/or tasks. Technical: A moderate understanding of the Company's computer operating system. A good understanding of the operating system's commands. Proficient in SAP - as relates to EDI and Idoc's. Use of moderately complex to complex debugging techniques. Adherence to all of the Company's naming and coding standards. A good understanding of SAP tables & data relationships. Basic understanding of computer networks. Business: An understanding of the business purpose of assigned tasks. General understanding of EDI as it relates to the different business processes. A general understanding of each of the Company's business areas. Other: Ability to perform independent project work. Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines. Effectively work with Internal and External customers. Effective written and oral communication skills. Effective use of reference materials. Ability to maintain a good working relationship with IS personnel.
