Overview CDL Class B Driver
The Miller Lumber Company is seeking safety-oriented Class B or Class A CDL drivers to make deliveries to residential and commercial job sites across the region, frequently utilizing truck-mounted forklifts.
Requirements: - Have current Class B CDL.
- Clean driving record.
- Able to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of safety procedures while performing driving and material handling tasks
- Team player and excellent customer service skills
- Ability to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks
Preferred: - 2+ year CDL driving experience
- Forklift certification (can be acquired on the job)
- Lumber, hardware, and other building material knowledge is a plus, but not required if motivated to learn.
Job Duties: - Material deliveries utilizing company trucks with truck mounted forklifts.
- Acts as customer service liaison. Handles customer concerns and helps to resolve issues as they arise.
- When not on the road, assisting in the lumber yard - loading customers, staging orders, and any other tasks needed in the operation of the yard.
- Typical delivery destinations will be in the tri-county region of Central Oregon.
We offer a competitive wage, depending on experience, with flexible scheduling and the opportunity for overtime pay. This is a full-time position. Shifts run between 7:00am and 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday.
