We are looking for a highly motivated Digital Asset Manager to oversee and organize digital content for our publishing initiatives in Ashland, Virginia. This role involves managing assets, ensuring consistency across digital platforms, and optimizing workflows to meet industry standards. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects in the publishing field.

Responsibilities:
• Organize, maintain, and manage digital assets across multiple platforms to ensure accessibility and proper categorization.
• Implement and enforce best practices for digital asset management and publishing workflows.
• Collaborate with creative, marketing, and production teams to ensure assets align with brand guidelines.
• Utilize XML and HTML technologies to structure and validate digital content.
• Optimize workflows for digital media production, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to publishing standards.
• Monitor asset usage and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
• Provide technical support for Adobe Creative Cloud tools, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Develop and maintain metadata standards to enhance asset searchability and usability.
• Train team members on digital asset management systems and processes.
• Stay updated on industry trends and recommend improvements to digital asset strategies.• Proven experience in digital asset management or related roles, ideally within the publishing industry.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud tools, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Experience Manager.
• Strong knowledge of XML, HTML, and other digital content structuring technologies.
• Familiarity with best practices for digital media management and publishing workflows.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate effectively.
• Experience with metadata standards and their application in digital asset systems.
• Knowledge of brand awareness and digital content strategies.
