Construction Superintendent--Hospital Renovations
Superintendent
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Commercial Superintendent to oversee and manage healthcare construction projects to include: hospital renovations and additions, medical office buildings, and labs. The Superintendent will represent the GC to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining a safe work environment. Key Responsibilities - Manage day-to-day operations on construction sites
- Developing and maintaining site logistics plan in coordination with Project Manager
- Communicating with the project team regarding ASIs, RFIs, and Material Submittals
- Supervise construction staff and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and owners to ensure project requirements are met
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Manage project budgets and schedules effectively
- Conduct site inspections and oversee quality control processes
- Resolve any issues that arise during the construction process
- Maintaining daily logs and photographs of jobsite activities utilizing appropriate software
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Superintendent representing the GC
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices
- Prior experience with healthcare construction renovations and/or major additions
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficient in project management software and tools
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred
