Position Overview

We are seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager with a background in big box retail construction and/or fast paced construction to lead projects from pre-construction through closeout. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, excels at problem-solving, and is passionate about building lasting relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations on construction projects (both ground-up and remodels) for major retail brands.
• Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and safety compliance.
• Lead site teams to ensure quality control, cost control, and timely delivery.
• Communicate regularly with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Conduct site walks, inspections, and status updates throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project reports.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Superintendent in commercial construction.
• Proven experience with big box retail projects (e.g., Walmart, Target, Costco, Lowe’s, Home Depot).
• Strong understanding of construction documents, permitting, building codes, and inspections.
• Proficient in construction scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Experience with fast-track retail rollout programs.
