Job Description

Position Overview:

As a Civil Project Manager with expertise in land development, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the execution of site development projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, ensuring projects progress smoothly from initial planning to completion, while adhering to local regulations, environmental standards, and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the design and development of land development projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadways.
  • Prepare and review detailed project plans, reports, and specifications for site development and infrastructure.
  • Conduct site assessments and collaborate with environmental, survey, and planning teams to produce feasibility studies.
  • Review and ensure compliance of design calculations, plans, and specifications with local regulations and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with municipalities, contractors, and other stakeholders to secure timely approvals and meet key project milestones.
  • Oversee stormwater management design, hydrology studies, and other site-specific engineering analyses.
  • Assist in the preparation of bid documents, cost estimates, and project schedules.
  • Provide leadership, technical support, and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or a related field).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in California
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering and land development.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of land development processes, including zoning, permitting, and local regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
