Job Details

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Associate Attorney with a focus on Construction Labor Law. This is a permanent, hybrid position that will allow you to work from both the comfort of your home and our dynamic office environment. You will be part of a dedicated legal team, working on complex construction labor law cases, providing legal advice, and representing clients in legal proceedings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, a deep understanding of labor laws, and experience in the construction industry.

As our Associate Attorney specializing in Construction Labor Law, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Handling a caseload involving construction labor law matters, including litigating cases from inception through trial.
2. Advising clients on various aspects of construction labor law, such as workers' rights, safety regulations, contract negotiation, and dispute resolution.
3. Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
4. Representing clients in court, mediations, arbitrations, and administrative hearings.
5. Conducting legal research and analysis to stay abreast of current trends and developments in construction labor law.
6. Collaborating with our team of attorneys and legal professionals to develop case strategies and ensure effective client representation.

To qualify for this exciting opportunity, you must possess:

1. A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
2. Active membership in the New York State Bar.
3. A minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation, specifically within construction labor law in NY.
4. A comprehensive understanding of construction industry practices and labor laws.
5. Proven experience in handling a diverse caseload and managing deadlines effectively.
6. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to advocate effectively for our clients.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
8. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
