Title - POST BAR Associate Attorney

Hours: 8-5 pm

Location: Westlake Village, CA

Salary: up to $110k

Overview: The Associate Attorney will be responsible for managing a full caseload of workers' compensation cases, each varying in complexity. This includes opening new files, creating litigation plans, and conducting discovery. The attorney will also be expected to make court appearances and, when necessary, try cases, all while maintaining excellent client interaction

Qualifications:

• 0-3 years’ experience in employment law defense litigation in California.
• Attorney with CA Bar License (required)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong legal knowledge and proficient writing skills

Responsibilities:

• Gathering medical evidence and medical records
• Taking depositions of the claimant, physicians, medical experts, and other parties
• Conducting discovery
• Performing legal research
• Remaining current with developments in the law
• Evaluating the merits of a workers compensation case
• Providing guidance and counsel to the clients through effective communication, medical review, and negotiating, settling, and litigating cases, if necessary
