Assistant Professor The Art and Art History Department in the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor beginning September 1, 2025, in the area of Printmaking. The successful candidate will oversee our spacious, state-of-the-art printmaking facility and teach key courses in our studio art curriculum, including undergraduate intaglio and relief printing processes. The print studio is equipped with three presses, including a new Takach Etching press. The applicant should be an artist with a record of creative practice in print and a working knowledge of related art forms such as digital printmaking, photography, drawing, and book arts. Knowledge of contemporary approaches to printmaking and its art historical significance is also essential. Minimum Requirements : Master of Fine Arts in hand by August 31, 2025. Candidates with one or more years of post-Masters teaching experience will be given preference. Applications must be submitted online by November 25, 2024.
