This role is ideal for someone who appreciates art, values organization, and enjoys connecting people with creative works. Key Responsibilities: Engage with Visitors: Serve as the first point of contact, providing information about exhibitions and fostering a welcoming atmosphere. Assist with Artwork & Exhibitions: Support the setup and takedown of exhibits, ensuring proper handling and display. Maintain Gallery Operations: Keep the space clean and organized while assisting with inventory, record-keeping, and occasional sales transactions. Support Events: Assist with gallery openings, artist talks, concerts, and special programs to create seamless experiences for attendees. Contribute to Promotions & Marketing: Help develop social media content and collaborate on promotional efforts for exhibitions and events. What We’re Looking For Strong People Skills: Friendly, approachable, and comfortable engaging with visitors. Proactive and Forward-Leaning: Takes initiative, anticipates needs, and looks for ways to improve visitor experiences. Attention to Detail: Organized and able to handle artwork with care. Qualifications Education & Experience: Candidates should have prior experience in a professional work environment. While a background in a gallery or arts-related setting is beneficial, transferable skills in customer service, event coordination, or administrative support are also valued. A high school diploma is required, and coursework in art, art history, communications, or a related field is preferred.
