The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As an Application Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Implementing new digital tools, training, best practice replication, and Pattern Marketplace processes Supporting new product development, customer troubleshooting, and global application engineering for the product portfolio Building a deep understanding of customer needs, gaps, and competition in assigned market-focused areas and providing “Voice of Customer” insights for new product ideas and competitive analysis Supporting strategy and content development for online and offline execution, including identifying and tracking KPIs, setting goals, and developing training strategies, content, SOPs, and stakeholder training Translating customer needs from VOC sessions into product development recommendations for prioritization within the roadmap and benchmarking against competitors Developing expertise within the organization to assist global and regional stakeholders in implementing new software for customers and growing sales Collaborating with product development teams, channel partners, and business teams to identify future opportunities, product improvements, and issues preventing commercialization Supporting and troubleshooting concerns for sales professionals and end-users during installation and onboarding activities Your Skills and Expertise To succeed in this role, 3M requires (at a minimum): High School diploma / GED or higher (verified prior to start) Three (3) years of experience in the Personal Auto industry Three (3) years of experience in the auto film industry (software, graphics, color, window tint, paint protection) Valid Driver’s License Additional qualifications that could help you succeed include: Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution Experience with pattern software and cutting tools Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Power BI Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills Ability to analyze, problem-solve, and implement solutions efficiently Experience with digital tools like cameras and virtual/video tools Other Details This position may require driving a company vehicle, with ongoing review of motor vehicle history Work location: St. Paul, MN; Hybrid eligible (some remote work, some travel to the office at least 3 days/week) Travel may include up to 25% domestic/international Relocation assistance may be provided Legal authorization to work in the country without sponsorship is required Supporting Your Well-being 3M offers various programs to support your physical and financial well-being, with competitive pay and benefits.
