We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This is a contract to hire position that requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills and a strong background in managing accounts payable processes. The role involves overseeing invoice processing, ensuring timely approvals, and delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Process approximately 150 invoices weekly and oversee approval procedures across multiple centers.

• Maintain regular communication with customers to address outstanding invoices and resolve discrepancies.

• Execute weekly check runs and automated clearing house (ACH) transactions.

• Ensure invoices are accurately coded and entered into the financial system.

• Provide exceptional customer service while managing vendor relationships and inquiries.

• Utilize Financial Edge software to streamline accounts payable operations.

• Monitor and maintain compliance with company policies and procedures related to accounts payable.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial processes and reporting.

• Proven experience in accounts payable management or supervision.
• Proficiency in coding invoices and processing check runs.
• Familiarity with automated clearing house (ACH) transactions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively with customers and vendors to resolve invoice-related issues.
• Experience with Financial Edge or similar financial software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
